1。星八克
星八克在北京现在也开的到处都是,还没有赶上纽约一条街一家的地步,不过也算时不长就能看得见的一家连锁店。然后某次我就进去了,就要了一杯咖啡,就喝了,喝后感是咖啡味道确乎类似刷锅水;上飞机那天在机场又发现了一个星八克,又进去了,又要了杯咖啡,又喝了,喝后感是这锅刷锅水刷的是比较焦的锅底儿。基本结论就是,北京的话呢,麦当劳的咖啡水平跟星八克不相上下,都比不上速溶咖啡。西餐店里有正经咖啡。对咖啡有要求的同志们切记切记。

2。倒时差
倒时差基本上来讲,不是人干的事情。我这个人还比较奇怪,纽约飞北京都能在飞机上睡的昏天黑地的;北京飞纽约在飞机上也就睡俩小时,最多。这13个小时下来,客观的说就是面无人色,客气的说就是显得很疲惫。然后我星期一下了飞机,到了家,摸摸弄弄,居然不困,到了一两点钟才上床睡觉。刷牙的时候悲怆的发现家里居然没有牙膏!只好拿盐水干刷。然后早晨4点多就醒了。睁着眼睛躺到6点多,饿了,起来弄点东西吃----泡饭配酱豆腐。吃完了东西对着镜子这么一看,真正脸色灰败啊!遂去了学校,跟人打招呼表示我回来了,领了工资。下午四点,脑子好像浆糊,乃收拾了东西,去车库领了车,开回家,又出去买了菜做了饭,吃完了觉得不能就睡觉,得耗到晚上。于是看电视,看着看着盹着了,醒了就移到床上,4点多又醒了。起来糊弄肚子东摸西摸,发现下雪了,马上决定不去实验室了,改在家睡觉。于是我老人家在下午抱着睡无可睡,从头再睡的信心和决心开始补觉。今天早晨起来洗过澡对镜一看,总算又是个人的样子了。

北京的星巴克跟我们这儿的星巴克差不多,都比麦当劳的略好不多,不至于是刷锅水,但是更痛苦在于,有点咖啡味道,却不够,于是更加勾引起对咖啡的向往。

That's how I feel about Starbuck's coffee here, plus the stomachache afterward. (Once is enough!)

I was so astonished when I found out long ago that Starbucks uses pods of ground coffee to make expresso shots -- no wonder there's no taste or kick. And all those junk drink inventions with syrups, whip cream and artificial flavors that average Americans embrace and willing to hand out 3 -- 5 bucks for each pollution shot.

Now I have to get my morning fix at home with my atomatic espresso machine (each time beans freshly ground by this baby) and only make tea to drink throughout the day.

This is such a junkie nation. People care about big portions not top qualities. Nothing to drink, nothing to eat, nothing to look at. :let_me_die:

People should try the rideculous "Tim Hortens" coffee in Canada before saying anything about Starbucks. It's so, so, so, so commentless..... :speechless002:
But I do have some comment on the pastries of Starbuck. I once got a piece of banana bread in desperate hunger and it tasted like dried shrimp! People with me rideculed me that how banada bread could taste like shrimp. I let them try, and they all shutted up because it did taste like shrimp. :uhh:

不知道为什么速溶咖啡在国内挺多. 在香港四星酒店西餐馆上的也是.
我现在上班的地方有EXPRESSO MACHINE. 不过我不敢喝太多, 上瘾了挺难过的.

我从来不爱喝星巴克的咖啡,喝到嘴里觉得酸。我在超市买回家的有种速溶咖啡味道却不差。
不过我很土,公司有espresso机器, 用的是现磨新鲜咖啡豆,我也没觉得有多好喝。
现在偶是胡军的扇子。

倒时差的时候最好很忙,忙得没空想它,熬到累得要命的时候睡觉,这样两天基本好了。最怕是一边倒一边度假,我上次回国直倒了一个星期,半夜游魂一样在家里看电视,找东西吃。

我好像倒过来了,不知道是星期三猫般死睡的成效还是昨天健身房2小时的功绩。
我回国倒还好,早晨4点钟醒了翻个身又能睡过去;我家良人就不行,睁眼耗到6点钟,给他兄弟打电话,被人劈头痛骂,他说我早就醒了,忍到现在才给你打! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

咖啡是生理性上瘾的。我每天喝咖啡的时候,如果那天早上没来得及去买,浑身就懒洋洋的,象没睡够的感觉。不过咖啡生理瘾去的很快,一周不和就可以脱瘾。
我戒咖啡有两个主要原因。一是嫌它染的牙黄。二来,戒断之后,早上没有咖啡也不觉得困,而真到没睡够或者宿醉未醒的关键时刻,一杯LATTE下去非常管用。咖啡要用在刀刃上啊。

说道牙齿染色,最近买了一管儿crest超级白牙膏。没啥泡沫,刷牙还真干净。刷了三天,自我感觉牙齿些许白了些个。

咖啡成瘾还是因人而异,我开始戒的时候忍受了有一个多月的头痛,严重的时候眼泪鼻涕都下来了,简直怀疑我喝过的不是咖啡是吗啡阿。 :evil:

也不是太恐怖吧?就是甜点,咖啡因少点,但是在没有咖啡机的地方,还是广为人民群众喜闻乐见的。

和星巴克,麦当劳的日常咖啡比起来,任何一种速溶咖啡的味道都香浓得多。星巴克本来就不是以普通咖啡著名的,靠的是N多种不同的口味,所有店一致的味道,和店里好的气氛。Dunkin Donuts的咖啡好喝的多,我最喜欢的还是原来住的老意大利区老店里的。

啊?这个这个, :shock: 怎么是这样的呐?我怎么就觉得星巴克的很好呐,其次是我自己在家作的,不到脑袋当当往桌上撞的时候,我是不喝那个3合1嗒。

好吧,口味不可强求,不过我觉得星巴克布置得很舒服,上班时躲出去或假期偷闲去坐坐,感觉真都挺好的呀。
有这么难么?

俺最怀念读书的时候,早上去上课之前,在路上的小店里买到的Mocca, 热呼呼的,无比香浓,咖啡的味道也足够。
在东京的Starbuck, Exclusior这些店里买到的Mocca都甜得喝不下去。:(
那薄如蝉翼的未来,经不起谁来拆。

不同的店估计手艺不太一样。我喝的最好的咖啡是我老板的咖啡,印度小娘做出来,特香,又不会太强烈。

我觉得星巴克还行, 选择多店也多, 方便, 虽然我还是更喜欢大学区和BELLTOWN的小店咖啡. 这就是连锁店和特色餐馆的区别.
昨天喝了杯MILK SHAKE, 这是我在BURGER店唯一能吃的东西了. 习惯性地往杯子上看营养成份,某人说你找不到的, 果然没有. 才反应过来大概餐馆类不用标成份. 如果标的话会不会吓跑很多人?

速溶咖啡不光是咱中国人喝,亚洲很多国家都兴这个。我们实验室的泰国人、日本人、韩国人都泡过袋装的咖啡,把老美孩子给好奇的。

星巴克的Latte居然是甜的,让我很不忿。可是我的朋友酷爱星巴克的Frappuccino,还要格外加料加cream,萝卜青菜。

我和青儿一样, 从来没觉得任何咖啡好喝. 而且我喝咖啡不能超过一杯. 喝两杯的话立刻心跳过速.

虽然我不是STARBUCKS FAN, 还是要说怎么会呢? 做的时候没有现场指导么? 做EXPRESSO和蒸气热奶的过程什么时候能加糖呢?除非奶里有糖.
他家的MOCCA是太甜了, 估计用可可粉太甜.

说到starbucks, 想起我答辩那天特特去学校的starbucks拎了一壶外卖。
然后那些committee members施施然进来, 欢呼:starbucks, 纷纷拿了杯子倒咖啡吃cookie。
我答辩很顺利,想来还沾了那壶咖啡的光。
现在偶是胡军的扇子。

特别受欢迎的还有CRISPY CREAM DONUTS. 那个糖, 看着就是小K和西风级别的. 我们开早会的时候有人带也是人人欢呼的.

做SPECIALTY COFFEE一半是手艺, 即使连锁,不同的人做的不一样. 以前在学校里面, 食堂都是STARBUCKS, 常去的四五家食堂, 就是有一家明显好.

That's because nobody buys donuts for themselves (too much guilt). If another offers donuts at a meeting, somehow it's totally OK to indulge. :mrgreen:

包括甜甜圈在内, 我基本上无法忍受这边的甜点, 全部都太甜. 好在温哥华华人开的baking store很多. 我认识的中国人好象都从来只买华人店的蛋糕.

我有一次带人逛PIONEER SQUARE, 经过STARBUCKS的起源店, 就是一个小小的STAND, 广场上排了十米的长队,寒风中翘首盼望那一点热气和咖啡因. 客人说看到这个他回国就没兴趣去STARBUCK挨宰了. 其实装修好有无线网可以无限坐下去的店还是很方便的, 很多学生在里面做功课.
我现在上班的地方附近的STARBUCKS 是和竞争对手共用的. 到STARBUCKS去喝咖啡有特殊含义, 难怪楼里厨房都自备EXPRESSO 机.

北美的糕饼太甜而且都是万恶的margerine做的,又没味儿又油腻又不健康。港式糕点太"空"了,没有奶味儿,面包又没韧劲儿。在丹麦和新西兰吃到的糕饼奶味儿足而且不太甜,又好吃又罪恶感。。。

小爱现在都只买华人店的蛋糕面包垫肚子,至爱椰丝条,菠萝包,杏仁酥 :mrgreen:除了去一间开在嬉皮市场的店买蒙特利尔白狗儿之外。

If you want good coffee in Starbucks, you have to order espresso rather than regular brewing coffee.
For less sweet Mocha, you can ask for less syrup such as two pump mocha for grande size-- regularly it is 4 pump.
And their Latte can't be sweet, at least I did not ever see one.

我到过的欧洲国家没有所谓的REGULAR COFFEE卖. 有AMERICANO就是把EXPRESSO兑水给美国人喝.
餐后一杯EXPRESSO感觉真好.

其实我对纽约的星吧课还是挺满意的,哪怕就是一般的咖啡吧,还是挺香的刷锅水的,最重要够强力。Latte的话,我觉得他们用的可能是浓缩奶,有淡甜味道;mocha那是死甜。

难道不是普通的牛奶么? 就是普通的WHOLE MILK, 2%, 1% OR NONFAT. 浓缩的怎么喝呢?
也许各地的牛奶质量不一样吧. 在法国喝到的麦记奶昔就是比美国的香. 我现在想起奥地利的牛奶还是念念不忘.

I doubt very much they use condensed milk. Only the Vietnamese coffee uses condensed, sweetened milk.

American milk, cheese, and yogurt are pasterized, which is at least part of why they don't taste as good as foreign milk.

I drink half n half. Non-fat milk tastes just like water :f22:

我始终不明白为什么有人会喝2%或者HALF N HALF. 也许因为我是直人? :lol:
要不在乎就喝WHOLE MILK. 要在乎就喝NON-FAT. 搞的那么精确.
STARTBUCKS这点上倒是量体裁衣, 你要几个PERCENT都可以. 糖浆也任选.
再次哭诉搬家后找不到好的MAPLE SYRUP. 小美要是什么时候来慰问坐牢的我务必带一瓶来.

啊,我倒不是非要喝half n half,这不过是打个比方嘛。

而且每次买whole milk,都要找半天,柜台上的水桶装一大半都是2%或者是nonfat的。halfnhalf包装乖巧,一下子就找到了……

half and half 比 whole milk 浓多了, 因为 half and half 不是一半无脂一半全脂,而是一半milk一半cream. 它比全脂奶肥多了。

强烈推荐Peets coffee,我最喜欢的是他家的Italian Roast,特别香浓。上次出去滑雪,早餐时用French Press给大家做了喝,a big hit。
