It looks to me that all these filters are for different diameter lenses, i don't think you need to compare their quality, you match them with appropriate lenses. Find out your lense's diameter then you would know which one to use.

I passed that learning curve on diameter. Now the question is do I get all in Canon, B&W or Hoya Pro ?
Or get cheap Tiffen just for protection and get one B&W and adapter for shooting?

I am definately only getting one good Circular Polarizers. So a 77mm polarizer and adapter? B&W seems to be the best? or is Hoya pro1 good enough?

And how about lense hood? Need one for every (size of) lense? Note that lens discussed here differs in diameter. (58, 72 and 77 for most )

我们好象是个tiffen的，这个东西看看review，买性价比最好的。
关于hood，只有室外才需要吧，而且佳能的长焦镜头应该是带的好象。我们很少用，又大又占地儿。

But Nikon D300 does not have autofocus function. You have to think carefully. Either buy a better Nikon body (>D800) or go with Canon.

啊？看来这个过程还挺复杂。我原来以为跟男人买钻石似的，合预算的买一个就算了。。。有点儿明白为什么相机帖为什么这么长了。

惨叫一声倒下，gigi您也太胡搞了吧，Nikon就没有D800，单位数是准专业/专业机（D1,D2,D3,D3x)，三位数是amateur相机里相当好的（D100,D200,D300,D700)，D300在D700出来前被称为compact D3，除了不是全幅，D3的功能都有，两位数是比较入门的机子（D40-90)，才按数字大小排功能呐。

不好意思，刚才因为正抱着安宝儿哄睡觉，回得简单了点儿。
不明白您这个用body照是啥意思？单反相机body就是个body，没镜头没法照相的，按快门有声儿也就是一片白或者黑啊。。。
葡萄皮儿宝宝多大？50mm是我劝所有有相机的人买的镜头，不过你看上这个不是全幅，意义小点儿，但我还是劝着置备一个，拍portrait十分好，或者看看有没有50mm DX的。
室外需要变焦，如果怕重，别买范围太宽的，50mm前后包含50mm的就行。
不过如果喜欢干偷拍的事儿（例如隔着马路拍人啊，我老人家自从有了御用模特儿就基本不干这号事儿了），就得需要一个200mm左右的。
你的预算多少呐？要不更考虑一下D700？
我每次在昏暗的室内对着安宝儿拍照都不免说一声，这钱花得真值！

After researching and reading old threads (learned a lot from Elysees and Debeers

), I bought and recommend the following:
1. For baby or portait:
AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D or 50mm f/1.4D depending on your budget
2. For outdoor/sports/偷拍:
AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED

What I meant to say was D80. D300 should be a very nice camera already. But you should listen to little E. She's the real export.

如果你只买body，当然body means body；不过很多时候都是套装卖的，如果你从来没有镜头，不妨看看套装，套装很便宜的。

我是从来没有镜头的，而且买D300的动机也是很Cheap的。。。女友答应我偶尔借用她的长镜头。
