http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/

Not really. the photographer usually follows people around and keep shooting until he gets what what he likes. It is more about observing and waiting and catching the monk at a moment that embodied a story. I don't think he has "monk gazing into a cloudy, stormy sunset" in mind before the shooting.猫咪头 wrote: Why, is it less manipulative if he posed the monk everyday to catch a clouy, stormy sunset?
Most of his pictures has a very strong sense of "moment", like the following.
Pakistani men try to rescue a donkey buried during an earthquake in Ziarat
Pakistani women struggle as they try to order food outside of a subsidized food store on the outskirts of Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Basic food and fuel prices have soared in Pakistan over the last months, causing many to depend on government subsidies to simply get by.
